SERBIA Belgrade

On the occasion of the jubilee marking the 90 years of its Educational, Scientific and Professional Engagement, the Forestry Faculty organises the first Serbian Forestry International Congress on the "Future with Forests". The Congress will be held at the Forestry Faculty of Belgrade University in Serbia from the 11th to the 13th of November 2010.

The Congress aims at:
Acquiring of the knowledge-base in order to define:
1. The implications of the new initiatives and documents on forestry development
2. The development perspective of forestry and wood processing industry in Serbia and region
3. The sustainable use of natural resources, landscape protection and preventive measures by natural hazards
4. Strategic guidelines for the development of forestry in special purpose areas (national parks and other protected areas), urban and rural environments
5. System of monitoring and evaluation for the planning-management decisions in forestry
Dissemination and intensification of professional communication, and substantiation of networks for joint research. Exchange of experience in practice of different countries.

Congress languages : English and Serbian, with simultaneous translation.

Notification of abstract acceptance: 15th June 2010
Deadline for submission of full papers: 31st July 2010
Notification of paper acceptance: 1st September 2010
