COMMUNICATION

The aim of this working group is to develop a comprehensive communication strategy between EFLA's members and to support, supervise and expand all the activities that relate to communication in EFLA both internally and externally.

EDUCATION

The aims of EFLA's Education Committee are:

  • to encourage the development of landscape architecture courses in the European Union, EEA, and Switzerland and to monitor and review their compatibility with the aims of the Foundation.
  • to help promote study and research, the exchange of knowledge and technical information.
  • to stimulate and promote education exchanges between member countries.

Education Committee works with the European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools (ECLAS) and European Landscape Education Exchanges (ELEE) and European Landscape Architecture Students' Association (ELASA) to further these aims. We welcome the recent successful ECLAS bid for European Union Le Notre funding, which will develop and complement these aims.

EUROPEAN LANDSCAPE POLICY

The group's main activity is to analyze ongoing and upcoming policies relevant to landscape and landscape architects (e.g. Territorial Agenda, EU-Policies, etc.).

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

The Professional Practice Committee's remit is set by Article 4 of the EFLA Constitution and currently the Committee is working on the following tasks:

  • Survey of the Profession
  • European Landscape Convention
  • Recognition of the Profession

SCHOOL RECOGNITION PANEL

EFLA distinguishes the schools and courses that it fully recognized from others schools and courses awaiting recognition. The fully recognition by EFLA follows those of members Associations. National Associations propose a school that submits a questionnaire which is checked for compliance with EFLA's Requirements and Procedures concerning the Recognition of Landscape Architecture Programmes.
